A Delhi court today postponed Shankar Mishra’s bail petition until January 30.
Mishra, who is accused of urinating on a female passenger aboard a flight in November last year, had filed a new bail application asking for regular bail.
The court adjourned the case after noting the absence of the investigating officer.
In addition, the plaintiff’s attorney did not receive a copy of the bond statement, he said.
The incident took place on board the Air India flight from New York to Delhi on November 26, 2022.
Mishra had allegedly urinated on an intoxicated 70-year-old woman in business class on an Air India flight on November 26, 2022.
The Delhi Police had registered an FIR against her on January 4 on a complaint filed by the woman with Air India.
Police registered an FIR under sections 354, 509 and 510 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 23 of the Indian Aircraft Act. Both the accused and the victim are from outside Delhi.
