Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will inaugurate 500 ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ (Mohalla Clinics) in Amritsar today (Jan 27). Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Coordinator Arvind Kejriwal will be present as the main guest on the occasion. Last year, CM Mann inaugurated 100 Aam Aadmi Clinics on August 15 for Independence Day.

The AAP party has claimed that more than 10 lakh people have received free treatment at these 100 Aam Aadmi Clinics so far. While more than three lakh people benefited from free trials.

Yesterday CM Mann said that with continued progress Punjab will shine like the ‘Kohinoor’ diamond. The AAP government has come as a breath of fresh air to Punjab as it is committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the people of the state, the CM said. Mann said as he addressed a meeting after hoisting the national flag at a Republic Day function in Bathinda.

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said: “It is a matter of great pride that the health revolution started in Punjab just one year after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government. Ahead of the election, the head of the party Arvind Kejriwal had given a guarantee to the people of Punjab that to provide free treatment, Mohalla Clinics would be established in Punjab Now the government is keeping the promises and working assiduously to fulfill their dream of making the state Rangla again Punjab”.

State Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh mentioned the successes of the Aam Aadmi Clinic and said that so far more than one million people have availed of the Aam Aadmi Clinic and more than three lakh people have been examined free of cost. . In addition, medicines were also delivered free of charge to the population.

Dr Balbir added that the first priority of the AAP government is to ensure that the people of Punjab receive free education and the best quality treatment in the state.

“When the children of common people receive free education, treatment, medicines and health checks, they will save a lot of money. They will use this money for their daily needs. This will raise the standard of living of common people, and society will progress in true sense,” he added.
